Gill Elsworth and Tina Wright are the founders of the company with over 30 years experience of providing high quality training and consultative services.

We support businesses and organisations by providing training, consultancy, voluntary sector support and access audits to improve our clients standards of equality, accessibility, staff recruitment & management and information.

An example of who uses Training and Consultancy Initiative Ltd services are the NHS, Local Authorities, the Civil Service, Colleges, adult education providers and the voluntary sector. We also have a wealth of experience from our work as volunteers on a wide range of project boards, consultation groups and management committees.

As disabled women we have a personal understanding of discrimination and exclusion. We are passionate about community involvement and enabling people to participate in the design of services that affect them and we have a strong track record of delivering to and empowering people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

We have worked tirelessly to promote the rights of disadvantaged groups including the establishment of, support and training for women's groups, disability organisations and economically disadvantaged groups.

We are enthusiastic learners having gained qualifications in supervisory management, project management, disability studies, adult training, participatory appraisal (PLA), social studies, youth work and counselling.

We are successful at securing funding from a variety of sources including the European regional development fund, the neighbourhood renewal fund, and other local, regional and national funders.

We have direct experience in project design and management, people management, financial management, training and development, partnership working, research and information provision.

Our ability to motivate others, influence and work in partnership with a wide range of people, groups and agencies coupled with our knowledge, experience, skills and qualifications means we are able to deliver projects on time, within budget and to an exceptional standard.
